The location was outstanding - a mere 5 min walk to the Menin Gate and 5 mins further to the centre of Ypres. It was opposite the city Ramparts which was perfect for an evening stroll. I loved the small outside patio where I could enjoy the sun after a busy day visiting the WW1 battlefields. Kitchen well equipped. Sofa and beds comfy. We forgot a blanket for my Dad's wheelchair and the weather turned cold but Vincent, the host, kind lent us one which I really appreciated. As low-budget travellers, we appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

Just returned from a group stay at Birdsonghouse Villa in a wonderful city. the property was well equipped with spacious and well-furnished rooms. the onsite garage storage and large washing machine/dryer were particularly useful as we arrived on bicycles. the location was walking distance to Menen Gate and many shops. Communication from the owners was fast and they were there to meet us when we arrived.
